Her LegacyConsulting

Request a business consultation

Let’s build something that lasts

Every business we have helped strengthen began the same way: one honest conversation about where things actually stand. Not a pitch, not a pricing exercise, a structured discussion built on trust, clarity and purpose.

Her Legacy Consulting works with women entrepreneurs, women-owned SMEs and purpose-driven organisations across the Western Cape and Northern Cape. Complete the consultation form below and a consultant will read it personally, then come back to you to arrange a time that fits around your trading hours.

Before you write

You do not need tidy records, a written strategy or the right words. Tell us plainly what the business does and what is not working, that is enough to begin.

Why request a consultation?

What a consultation actually gives you

A first consultation with Her Legacy Consulting is a working session, not an introduction call. Here is what business owners take away from it.

  • Clarity about where you actually stand

Most owners carry a rough sense that something is wrong without being able to name it. A consultation turns that feeling into a plain description of the business: what earns, what drains, what is missing and what is simply mis-sequenced.

  • Practical guidance you can use immediately

We do not speak in frameworks for their own sake. You leave with specific, doable actions, the quote template to fix, the deadline to catch up, the price to correct, described in language you can act on this week.

  • Strategic direction beyond the next month

A consultation sets the horizon further out than the current cash cycle: which customers to build around, which work to stop taking, and what the business needs to look like in twelve to thirty-six months for it to hold together.

  • Operational insight into how work flows

We look at how a job moves from enquiry to payment, where it stalls, who is holding it and what only exists in your head. That is usually where the recoverable time and margin are hiding.

  • Opportunities you are already close to

Compliance you are two documents away from completing, a service you under-price, a supplier arrangement worth renegotiating, a market your existing skill already reaches. Fresh eyes find these quickly.

  • A clear sense of the next right step

You will not be handed twenty priorities. You will be told which one or two changes matter most now, why they come first, and what would need to be true before the rest is worth starting.

Before you send it

The reasons owners hesitate, answered honestly

Most enquiries that never get sent are stopped by one of these six thoughts. None of them is a good reason to keep carrying the business alone.

  • “My records are not in order yet.”

They rarely are, and that is usually the reason a consultation is needed rather than a reason to postpone one. We have started engagements from a shoebox of slips and a bank app. Reconstructing a clear picture from incomplete records is ordinary work for us, and no one is judged for the state of their paperwork.

  • “I am not sure my business is big enough.”

Most of our clients employ between one and twenty people, and several began as a single founder trading from home. Size is not the qualifier. Willingness to look honestly at the business and act on what you find is the qualifier.

  • “I do not know which service I need.”

Then choose “I am not sure yet” in the form. Part of a first consultation is naming the actual problem, and owners are often wrong about which one is costing them most. Being uncertain is a normal starting point, not a disqualification.

  • “I do not want to be sold to.”

Neither would we. There is no pricing conversation on this page, no quotation funnel and no follow-up campaign. You will receive one considered reply from a consultant, and if we are not the right practice for what you need, we will tell you so directly.

  • “I am too busy trading to sit in meetings.”

That pressure is precisely what structure relieves. Consultations are scheduled around your trading hours, held online where travel would cost you a day, and kept to an agreed agenda so your time produces decisions rather than discussion.

  • “I have had bad advice before.”

Many owners have, generic templates, jargon-heavy reports, advice that assumed budgets they did not have. We work from your real numbers and your real operating conditions, and we stay through implementation so the advice is tested rather than handed over.

What happens next?

Four steps, with no guessing in between

Uncertainty is the main reason good enquiries never get sent. So here is exactly how your request is handled from the moment you submit it.

  1. Step one

    You submit your request

Complete the consultation form below with your details, your town, the service area you are interested in and a short description of your business. Nothing needs to be polished. If you are unsure which service applies, select “I am not sure yet”, that answer is genuinely fine and it tells us something useful.

  2. Step two

    We review your enquiry personally

Every request is read by a consultant, not sorted by an automated system. We look at what you have described, consider which of our service areas fit and note the questions we will need to ask. You can expect to hear from us within one to two business days.

  3. Step three

    We arrange the consultation

We confirm a time that works around your trading hours and agree whether we meet in person or online, based on where you are. If any documents would make the session more useful, a price list, bank statements, a compliance letter, we will tell you in advance so nothing is a surprise.

  4. Step four

    We discuss practical solutions

The consultation is a structured conversation about the business, its numbers and its pressure points. It ends with our honest view of what to address first and how we would approach it. There is no obligation to appoint us, and we will say so plainly if we are not the right fit for what you need.

We will never promise an outcome before understanding a business. What we do promise is a considered reply, a properly structured first session and complete honesty about whether we can help.

Consultation request form

Tell us about your business, and we will take it from there

This form is the only way we take enquiries, so nothing is lost between inboxes or missed calls. It takes about three minutes to complete.

  • Every field marked below is required so that we can respond properly.

  • Your information is used only to answer this enquiry and to deliver work you appoint us for.

  • Records, statements and anything else you share later remain confidential.

  • You will receive a personal reply, usually within one to two business days.

Personal information is processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act. We do not sell, share or add your details to marketing lists.

What the business does, how long you have been trading and what is currently in your way is more than enough.

Areas we serve

Business consulting across the Western Cape and Northern Cape

Her Legacy Consulting is a Western Cape practice that works throughout the Northern Cape. We travel where travel makes sense, and meet online where distance would otherwise put good advice out of reach.

Western Cape

  • Cape Town

Professional practices, service businesses and founders trading with corporate and government clients.

  • Mitchells Plain

Family-run retail, food and trade businesses formalising their operations and admin.

  • Malmesbury

Swartland agricultural suppliers, logistics operators and rural service providers.

  • Grabouw

Seasonal enterprises managing fluctuating income, labour cycles and cash-flow pressure.

  • Paarl

Hospitality, wine-route suppliers and boutique manufacturers building repeatable systems.

  • George

Garden Route tourism, construction and professional services scaling beyond the owner.

Northern Cape

  • Springbok

Namaqualand traders and contractors working far from head offices and formal business support.

  • Wupperthal

Cederberg craft, rooibos and heritage enterprises building market access and pricing discipline.

We do not keep an office in every town we work in, and we would rather say so plainly. What we keep is a regular travel rhythm through the Cape, and a consulting method that works just as well over a video call as it does across a boardroom table.

Where distance, cost or your trading hours make an in-person session impractical, consultations and ongoing reviews are held virtually. Documents are reviewed beforehand, the agenda is the same, and the outputs, costing models, written procedures, admin routines, are identical. A founder in Springbok or Wupperthal receives exactly the standard of engagement a client in Cape Town receives.

Businesses elsewhere in South Africa are welcome to enquire as well. The work does not change; only the meeting format does. Mention your location in the consultation form and we will plan accordingly.

Why clients feel comfortable with us

The tone of the work, before you commit to any of it

Choosing a consultant is largely a question of trust. These are the standards our clients say made the difference, and the ones we hold ourselves to.

  • Approachable

You will not be spoken down to, and you will not be asked to know the jargon. Questions you were embarrassed to ask elsewhere are welcome here.

  • Professional

Agreed times are kept, agreed scope is delivered, and every engagement is documented so both sides know exactly what was promised.

  • Practical

Advice is measured by whether it can be implemented on Monday morning with the people and money you actually have.

  • Confidential

Financials, client lists and internal documents stay between us, and personal information is handled in line with POPIA.

  • Purpose-driven

We take on work we believe in. Integrity, stewardship and dignity govern how we advise, not just how we speak about ourselves.

  • Solutions-focused

Sessions end with decisions and next actions, not a list of everything that is wrong. Diagnosis without direction helps nobody.

  • Supportive

We stay through implementation, not only planning. When something does not work as expected, we adjust it with you rather than hand back a document.

  • Long-term thinking

Every recommendation is tested against a simple question: does this still serve the business in three years, and can it run without you?

The next step

Every legacy begins with one decision

Not a perfect plan, not a bigger budget and not a quieter month. Simply the decision to stop carrying the business alone and to have one honest conversation about what it could become with the right structure behind it.

Send your request whenever you are ready. It will be read by a consultant, answered personally, and treated with the seriousness that the work you have already put in deserves.
